On our way out of Portland we stopped by Sauvie's Island for some berry picking. Pretty amazing. Our daughters, especially Ennyn, pigged out.
When it rains as much as it does in Portland, you might as well honor it with a statue promoting practicality.

Jackie Meagher, a member of the Portland Aquatic Club, wasn't wanting to greet the 6am swim practice at Grant Pool. It was cold and she lamented, "I could still be sleeping." Today was opening day for the Portland Parks and Recreation outdoor pools.

Sniester is a strange festival. A crazy mix of Eurosonic. Parkpop and Rewire. Which sounds pretty kansloos but is sometimes good for a surprise or two.
These were taken on my drive from Williamsport, PA to Portland, Oregon and back. It was a 19-day cross country trip.
