Portland Oregon shot from the shores of the Willamette River

Been wanting to try out the photoshop "tiny planet". So here is my first attempt.

This image began as a 120 b/w film negative, which was scanned to a cd as a .jpeg, then brought into photshop. From there I thorougly screwed up. But, it looked pretty cool, so here it is.

First stop in downtown Portland -- diner lunch! The place was a classic that felt like the gay-friendly urban diners I knew in the 70’s on the east cost. Good food, mix of customers who seemed to be downtown workers, friendly staff that called you ‘hon’ and seemed to know half the customers, good prices, and music (not too loud) with some right out of the time that I was coming out.

The building itself has the lovely name of “Medical Dental Building”; built in 1928, the few portions of the interior (including the lobby) that I saw were genuine for that era.

c2001 - Win a Bike! oh but why when you have a small frame vespa already! I believe this is Patrick during the Sunday ride of the Hells Belles scooter rally. No idea who the pointer is though.

Taken around the corner where I live in East Deering, Portland, Maine

Taken back in March and played around with in Topaz Adjust tonight.

Skies clear after a prolonged spell of torrential rain on Portland island, Dorset. Inevitably, puddles have formed, which I use to my advantage. The beam of the lighthouse appears twice: in the sky and in the water. Nikon D800, Nikkor 20/2.8.

Portland, Dorset, England - 10th March, 2014

Portland Head Light is located adjacent to Fort Williams Park. It is the oldest lighthouse in Maine, and the most photographed lighthouse in America. This historical site is located in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

The breed became very rare although there were always Portlands at Calke Abbey in Derbyshire, where a flock had been established in 1770.

Decided to dust off the camera and see what the 'storms' were doing at Portland Bill yesterday.

Didn't need to dust off the camera as the strong winds and sea spray soon did its bit.

The wind was picking up so much spray that it was impossible to get a decent shot at 'The Pulpit' side so spent most of the afternoon slightly more sheltered.

Portland Bill lighthouse shrouded in fog on a cool March lunchtime.

It was clearly seen when we arrived but quickly disappeared into the gloom.
