Thanksgiving morning in Portland Oregon. The city is waking up to a beautiful day as the downtown buildings reflect the early light. The Hawthorne bridge spans the Willamette river.

Taken at the Eastern Promenade in Portland, Maine, showing those big feet

woke to fog again this morning. but it's sunny right now so i'm going back out to enjoy it....

While out running errands on Saturday I found BNSF's Lake Yard Transfer job running south to Lake Yard with a pair of SD60Ms for power. Here they pass lumber from Shur-Cut Industries, a small local sawmill in North Portland.

located in Fort Williams park Cape Elizabeth Maine. Portland Head lighthouse is the oldest...and I think the prettiest lighthouse in Maine.

The International Rose Test Garden is a rose garden in Portland, Oregon, United States. There are over 7,000 rose plants of approximately 550 varieties.

 

New rose cultivars are continually sent to the garden from many parts of the world and are tested for color, fragrance, disease resistance and other attributes. It is the oldest continuously operating public rose test garden in the United States and exemplifies Portland's nickname, "City of Roses".

This image is a recent re-edit taken in January 2018 and depicts another well known landmark of Dorset, Portland Bill Lighthouse.

During this visit the sea was wild which provided some classic seascape shots. Towards the end a rogue wave came over a large rock that up until that point had been providing shelter from the sea but I ran out of luck.

Portland weird is alive and real. IPhone 6+ and processed with Snapseed, Instaflash Pro, and TouchRetouch.
