Portals in Time. San Jose, CA 2019

Finally found the spot where many photographers take of the George Washington Bridge. I was always intrigued by how close photographers were to the bridge, and I finally found out how they did it. There is actually a very small park located at Fort Lee that overlooks the G.W. Bridge. You get so close you can hear every engine roar by across the bridge. The first time I came here, the entrance gates were down, so I drove in through the exit gates. There I was awaited by 2 patrol cars. Without hesitation, they drove up to my car and threatened to give me three tickets for my actions. I apologized and told them I had no idea and they let me go.

So this weekend, my good buddy and I decided we would try it a second time, but before the park closed. We stationed our tripods for almost 2 hours, taking as many long exposure shots we could until both our camera batteries died.

I went shooting with my friend Mike this past weekend. Mike's not on flickr so I can't point you his way, but he'd just upgraded his Canon T2i to a 60D and he was going to take it on a test run. I had a roll of film all ready in my camera, but as we were about to start shooting, Mike says he wanted to give me his T2i!! I couldn't believe it, the camera's in perfect shape only being about a year old. I'm still finding my way around this beauty but here is a shot from it. Thanks Mike, what an amazing gift!!

These double bridges look quite dull normally. I can't recall seeing any really interesting photos of them either, so I was excited to find both still water and some clouds on this particular outing. Tried a lot of different compositions but this is probably my favourite.

After letting a number of my photos from a spring trip to Arches National Park languish, I've decided to plow forward and finish editing them. Gone are the days of photo-editing procrastination, I say! I'm turning over a new leaf. Right after I take a nap.

This is South Window at Arches NP, of course. The pano was approximately 20 total photos.

Thanks for checking it out!

an oldie from the old stream, it was popular at the time but seems a little amateurish now, the texture a little heavy handed.........watch ya say ?

It became pretty misty that night, condensing the lens at a sudden point. Actually like the effect it gave.
