a re-post of a picture that carries my everlasting obsession with roads, fog and snow ... :))

... don't let the Christmas preparations kill you please!!! Hohohooo ...

(those of you who celebrates it)

Walking across the Bir Hakein Bridge in Paris. This bridge was featured in the movie Inception.

I was out all day today so haven't had time to comment, but will catch up tomorrow!

For Looking Close... on Friday!'s #bokeh only theme

Once again, those Miracle Moderators have managed to read my mind and tapped into an idea that I'd been thinking about for a while. So I had to use some magic of my own to create an extra hour in the day and make sure I got my shot sorted for this theme!

If you're interested, the texture here is created in the camera image itself (but not by the camera as such), and isn't added post-production. It's a similar idea to using card with a shaped aperture (e.g. a star, or heart) in front of the lens to create shaped bokeh, which I've tried once reasonably un/successfully. But it's not quite the same.

I'm slightly annoyed by the blue haze. Need to work out where the came from and how I can stop it happening again... I'd also be interested to see what this looks like in greyscale.

But, well, for my first experiment, I'm quite chuffed with the result :-)

Happy New Year, everyone :-)

A challenge entry for Handheld Art’s “Mix these Pix”. Source image by Cathy Labudak, mixed with a handful of beautiful doors I found on a recent trip. (So recent I still haven’t recovered and haven’t left the house in four days....) Hence, the quiet fun of creating something while I recuperate!
