Maryland Forest Service staff provides St. Mary's County vocational students instruction and hands-on experience with the department's portable saw mill.
One of several portable electric power distribution centers constantly on the move around the inside of the Bingham Canyon open pit copper mine" The orange boxes can be used singly or ganged together when needed and are frequently moved to new locations around the mine.
The gigantic shovels used to scoop up ore are powered by electricity between 7,200 - 13,800 Volt - 3 Phase, 60 Hz AC power depending on the model. These orange transformers are part of the system needed to supply at least 3,750 kVA of power to the shovel.

This is the only form of portable music that I own at the moment. I don't even own a discman or boombox. If I subscribed to the whole scene-points thing, I'd be winning right now.
May 8th 2013: I've had the Canon EOS 6D for a few months now. Enough for me to decide for myself that this is truly a very versatile and 'light' camera. Like other photographers, I reached a point of looking for something portable enough without having to carry all the wide variety of lenses and gadgets. I also have a Canon G11 which I called my 'little beast'. Of course with time everything gets replaced. However, glass (Camera lens) does not change, unless you damage it somehow. But the point is that when you combine an extremely portable lens such as the "Canon EF 40mm f/2.8" lens; everything is super portable. Instead of spending over a $1400 on a portable camera, I like the idea of having a small and versatile lens that works with the invested brand of 'camera bodies'. I can use this lens on a Canon 7D or the older Canon 30D. The only difference is the crop factor. Most photographers reading this will understand the difference between a cropped sensor and a full frame. There are plenty of articles online explaining this. But my main point is, the 'combination' of the Canon 6D + 40mm pancake lens is truly phenomenal. The DOF is creamy, not to mention the 2 extra stops that the 6D provides. Shooting at ISO 50 can produce some really stunning crisp and noiseless images. So, if you are a Canon user like myself and are considering something more portable and want to save a few bucks, consider investing in this lens. The 'glass' is definitely worth it and personally, I highly recommend it. And in conclusion, if you think of zoom, consider using your feet. It's great to have limitations at times.
