There was an endless supply of sunfish and perch to catch in the fifties. Maybe there still is. (I can still hear John's shout as I cast my line and caught his neck. A Good Samaritan saved the day, and as usual, John didn't hold it against me.)

A Black Tern (Chlidonias niger) flying past the cattails. Unlike most terns, Black Terns live in marshes. Their numbers are declining in southern Ontario, and they're now quite hard to find in the Greater Toronto Area.
