Early morning fog fades distant details but most of the landscape remains, as we remember.

Port Perry, Ontario, June 30, 2025.

Taken at a great distance...this was a life bird for me. Two of these juveniles showed up yesterday as rare birds for this area. They nest in the far north and winter mainly at sea to the far south...not usually seen in the east. This very dainty bird was floating and spinning on the water.
