While we at WILDOUT appreciate the duct tape is considered a cure-all here in Canada, DIY & wildlife don't mix. After this valiant & patriotic "do-it-yourself" attempt failed, WILDOUT was called in to get the wild out! Note also the starling droppings - in the spring time starlings are drawn to open holes on buildings like cat hair to black slacks!
My Friend Gerhard is a keen birder. Whenever the car comes to a stop it is almost automatic to see him with binoculars in place looking for something else to report. Of course, seeing the birds and photographing them isn't always as easy as one might hope!

This cat was getting wet in the downpour that marked the day at the "Brits by the Lake" show in"Port Perry" Ontario.

Many of these old generators were out on the street, very noisy and giving off smoke. I'm assuming that the craftsman here must recreate and take care of them, but I'm not quite sure what they're for.
One day in August I drove out to Port Perry to visit the Nonquon Sewage Lagoons, a popular birding spot, hoping in particular to see some Black Terns.
The birds swimming here are all Bonaparte's Gulls (Chroicocephalus philadelphia).
