Arte contemporanea nello spazio urbano
La fruizione dell’arte si semplifica, esce in strada e segue il naturale fluire del tempo. Il poster ha già in sé tutto questo. Il manifesto che storicamente è messaggio, arte, grafica e design, entra a pieno titolo nella scena dell’arte contemporanea, attraverso l’abilità, il genio creativo e l’azzardo di artisti, capaci di riconsegnare al pubblico, immagini vere, poetiche, fantastiche, dure e graffianti, di una quotidianità autentica, reale ma comunque spesso distrattamente ignorata. L’intento di POP UP! è di offrire una narrazione in grado di mostrare le molteplici facce del poster: dall’immaginario grafico osceno e senza compromessi delle serigrafie di Le Dernier Cri, a quello rock e psichedelico tipicamente 70’s dei Malleus, al manifesto inteso come supporto e presenza urbana, militante o dissonante, di artisti del calibro di Teresa Sdralevich e WK Interact - che parlano oltre le parole, gridano attraverso i muri - fino alle proposte più eterogenee degli italiani Paper Resistance, Andreco e William Vecchietti. Tantissimi altri poster, spediti da ogni parte del mondo per la Convention, mostrano la faccia più spontanea, libera e street del movimento Poster Art. Uno strumento, il manifesto, che inspira l’indagine delle dinamiche sociali, viste anche con gli occhi degli adolescenti, chiamati attraverso un Contest a realizzare le proprie opere sui modelli di manifesti politici, da circo o slogan. POP UP! è un progetto MAC, ideato e realizzato da Monica Caputo, Allegra Corbo, Lucia Garbini, con il contributo di Regione Marche, Provincia di Ancona, Cohabitat, Comune di Ancona, Fondo Mole Vanvitelliana, Fondazione Nouveaux Mecenes, e in collaborazione con Soprintendenza per i Beni Architettonici e per il Paesaggio delle Marche, Istituto CSD Poliarte Ancona, Nuova Associazione ARCI Ancona, Cooperativa Pescatori Ancona, Autorità Portuale di Ancona.
