Natürlich richten sich alle Augen immer zuerst auf Israels Party- und Kreativmetropole Tel Aviv, aber die Stadt Haifa, im Norden des Landes muss sich keineswegs verstecken. Von dort kommen die Künstler der Broken Fingaz, einem Streetart Kollektiv, das weltweit bereits seine Spuren hinterlassen hat und dem scheinbar keine Wand zu groß.
Die Gruppe wurde 2001 von Unga gegründet und ihre teilweise bizarren großflächigen und farbenfrohen Graffitis und Wandgemälde zieren zahlreiche Clubs und öffentliche Flächen von Tel Aviv, London, Paris, Wien, Beijing, Phnom Penh und nun bald auch in Bremen.
Während einer 2wöchigen residency vom 15. - 28. April wurden die Broken Fingaz aktiv. Das Projekt fand statt in Kooperation der Schwankhalle, der Städtischen Galerie, Wanted! International und der jazzahead!
Das Broken Fingaz Werk entsteht an der Kaimauer unterhalb des Beluga- Gebäudes auf dem Stadtwerder in Richtung Neustadt.
Neben der Streetart sind die Broken Fingaz auch als Designer in Israel gefragt, verfolgen musikalische Projekte und geben Workshops. Eine Auswahl ihrer Arbeiten werden sie nach Bremen mitbringen und ausstellen sowie zum Kauf anbieten.
Mobiler Ort für den PopUp-Shop war 'Dat Küken' der Kiosk der Schwankhalle. Die Broken Fingaz haben das Küken für ihre Aktion neu gestaltet.
