La Granja de Esporles, histórica posesión situada en el término municipal del mismo nombre, es conocida desde la época de los romanos por el importante caudal de agua de su fuente. Los moros, que dominaron la isla del siglo X al XIII, se instalaron en la zona fundando la alquería llamada Alpich. Más tarde, cuando Jaime I conquistó Mallorca, este dividió la isla en cuatro partes y el conde Nunyo Sanç se estableció en la posesión.
En 1239, Nunyo Sanç cedió la Granja a los monjes cistercienses para que fundaran en ella un monasterio de la orden del Císter. Doscientos años más tarde, los monjes vendieron la posesión a la familia Vida, pasando después a la familia Fortuny, que finalmente la vendió a Cristòfol Seguí Colom, actual propietario.
Hoy en día La Granja está abierta al público y acoge un museo etnográfico y una variada muestra de animales típicos de granja. La visita a La Granja permite conocer las actividades agrícolas tradicionales, el palacio, los patios y los emblemáticos jardines de la posesión. Los visitantes también pueden observar como realizan su trabajo los artesanos, degustar vinos y frutos secos y conocer el baile tradicional mallorquín. Para finalizar la oferta, La Granja cuenta con un restaurante que sirve platos típicos mallorquines, así como platos de cocina internacional. (Wikipedia).

Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine - Kyoto, Japan. Also known as “O-inari-san”, Inari shrines are the most familiar shrines to Japanese people. There are said to be some thirty thousand throughout the country, frequented by people of all ages.
Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine with which all the others are affiliated. In the 1300 years since its establishment in 711AD, people have gathered here to pray for bountiful harvests, business prosperity, the safety of their home and family and the fulfillment of all kinds of other wishes.

St. Anthony is known as a marriage saint, because legend has him as one who conciliated couples. His feast day, June 13, is Lisbon's municipal holiday, celebrated with parades and marriages of humble couples.
It is a popular costum to make St. Anthony Thrones (shown in the image up) and put them on entrance doors outside during the night of his holiday and persons passing by left some coins to his feets and making a wish for each coin. It is said that he always give an answer to this prayers. In old quarters of Lisbon you can find lots of these Thrones of St. Anthony during the month of June, every year and since ancient times..
