Out walking again last Saturday. The weather was foul so only managed to get this single image all day. I think it was worth the effort and I still enjoyed the walking.
I am a bit tired and cant really share much of what is going on today... but I can share a bit of my garden with you. I could be staring at the poppies for hours. Maybe I should too...
We're glad that our poppies have decided to bloom the week before our move. We are very casual gardeners and have planted an eclectic collection of plants. (Eclectic seems to be our middle name and approach to life.)
Leaving a home of 33 years is a bittersweet experience. We're looking forward to a downsized new setting, but have put a lot of our lives into our present one. We still have the transition of the move to look forward to, as well as the process of putting our present home on the market. Let the good times roll!

Everyone seems to like poppies, so here is a selection of images from our recent trip to the Sonoma Coast. The classic California wildflower, and our state flower. I especially like this variety with paler edges around a glowing center.

I took this shot of a red poppy in full sun, with the sun high in the sky, to test the response of the D800 to such a difficult situation.
We came across such a lovely field of poppies near Husthwaite today, some of which were standing back from the crowd so to speak, like this one.

Found these in Alexandra Park, Moss Side - I could have stood here for hours photographing them they were just so pretty :-) wow - went to number 13 in explore! Can't believe it -Added to theCream of the Crop pool as most favorited.

Panorama shot of a poppy field/. Apparently should have been flax, but spraying went wrong. So to the delight of locals, the hill turned red.
