To celebrate their 25th anniversary, german onlne retailer frontlineshop invited a selection of brands to create a special collaboration product. Besides Pointer, Lee, Iriedaily and Nike, we were asked to draw a portrait of frontlineshop founder Torsten Lange. The whole array of products was released at frontlineshop's popup store last saturday and is also shown in the current issue of Highsnobiety magazine.

Reading guidebooks to Mongolia, you might assume there's nowhere to shop once you travel beyond Ulaanbaatar. Wherever you are, rest assured, shops will pop up. Pop-up shops didn't pop up in the states until around 2003, but they're an integral part of the nomadic world. Everywhere we stopped in Mongolia, enterprising women appeared and rolled out boutiques of hand-woven goods from sheep, camel and yak hair, traditional Mongolian dells and hats, slippers, felt items and jewelry. Special and custom orders are usually welcome, as the advanced shoppers in our crew quickly discovered.
And then, of course, there's the occasional strip mall.
