Ok, so NOW I know why people are on about the TBL's smell. The sanding and carving totally brought it out and that smell is like pee. ewww.
No regrets though, because the whole reason I got her was so I could experiment and play without feeling terrible about making a real Blythe look hideous.
I even managed to break her eyemech while I was trying to figure out how it worked. WINNING.
When you take a photo of it you can tell right away what's wrong with a faceup. See, putting make-up on with cotton buds is really not an exact science. I need to upgrade.

i was SO drunk when we did this. they were boarding an early morning bus, obviously to spend the day at a baseball game.
DIdn't have the guts to photograph him from the front. Just after this picture was taken he went into the store to buy some booze.

I snapped this on my camera phone as a precursor to a "proper" shoot with my Canon! I had noticed the texture of the bears "fur" whilst visiting my
Grandson and it gave me an idea for a future project! I think you can liken this shot to the polaroid pictures that Glamour/studio photographers used to take during their photoshoots in the days of film cameras as it was a quick way of checking lighting/makeup as there was no way to see what their professional camera had taken until the film was developed.
