Les villas de Nice sont des édifices de villégiature d'hivernants qui présentent une ou des références stylistiques architecturales depuis son annexion en 1860.

 

L'architecture édilitaire locale (gare, lycée, préfecture, églises, poste ...) s’inspire principalement des oeuvres de styles français. Castor et Pollux sont, dans la mythologie grecque, les fils jumeaux de Zeus et de Léda. Ils sont appelés les Dioscures ce qui signifie les « fils de Zeus » en grec.

Invented by the German Engineer Anton Flettner and first used on the converted schooner Buckau in 1925. MV Barbara was the second ship to be fitted in 1926 with three Flettner Rotors.
