Gelli Prints with own masks
This is great theraphy, when life is hard. :)
This series with grungy atmosphere and old buildings, made me think about pollution, when I saw the results. One can never be sure, what comes out of a Gelli Print.
Air pollution is contamination of the indoor or outdoor environment by any chemical, physical or biological agent that modifies the natural characteristics of the atmosphere.
Household combustion devices, motor vehicles, industrial facilities and forest fires are common sources of air pollution. Pollutants of major public health concern include particulate matter, carbon monoxide, ozone, nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide. Outdoor and indoor air pollution cause respiratory and other diseases and are important sources of morbidity and mortality.
Air quality is closely linked to the earth’s climate and ecosystems globally. Policies to reduce air pollution, therefore, offer a win-win strategy for both climate and health, lowering the burden of disease attributable to air pollution, as well as contributing to the near- and long-term mitigation of climate change.
Breaking some of my own self-imposed rules with a beautiful display of aurora borealis over the Prince Edward Island countryside last week.

Light pollution from Mahón (the orange light to the right of the image) and light cast from Favàritx Lighthouse on the left, sandwiching the milky way core.
World Trade Center - As is the case in the City, the sky was magnificently polluted with light. I had to time this just right to freeze the NYC bus sign and the light trail. This added some motion while naming the city at once.
The Milky Way is exploding out of light pollution and cloud cover.

How very sad that people continue to release these balloons in the air.... this is usually where they wind up, just waiting for a bird, fish or turtle to get tangled and meet their end....
people need to smarten up and think about the environment and animals!!! Thankfully a boater came along and scooped these up!!
Yesterday I did a shoot with Naomi. Daughter of good friend Ton. She is 12 years old and really a good model.
