This is a photograph of my friend Taylor. I used a softbox to illuminate her hand dramatically while the rest of her remains quite dark, appealing to a low-key style and making the shot more emotive overall.
Small finch. Sharply pointed bill is pink in summer, grayish-brown in winter. Small head, long wings, and short, notched tail. Adult males in spring and summer are bright yellow with black forehead and wings. Females are dull yellow below and olive above with two distinct wingbars. In winter, they are drab, buffy-brown. Active and acrobatic. Sometimes in large numbers at feeders or on ground below. Found in weedy fields, cultivated areas, roadsides, orchards, and backyards.
Not quite as sharp as I would have liked but he was continuously moving back into the shadows.

Sharp thorns give this cactus a form of self-defense and an aura of exotic beauty, along with a subtly persuasive message:
Admire but don't touch!
The Cambridge 800 Town, Gown & Country Show. Cambridge may be a tiny place in size and population but it is one full of activities and beauty. The Town & Country Show at Parker's Piece is a new event (this was the third year) and this year the University joined in because of the 800th Anniversary. This is a candid of one of the University people who were busy with activities at the fair. I noticed the eight-pointed star shadows and had to capture the scene. Claire, who works for the University's External Affairs & Communications team, was chatting with a little girl in a pink hat when I took this. All very colourful and lovely:-)

When Sam pointed this scene out and I looked....I was totally stunned! This is just not the same in the picture....the yellow was absolutely electric!!! Took my breath away! It is the most vivid yellow I've ever seen! This is much, much nicer in a click to larger view!
Have a great weekend everyone...I need a day off so bad!! I'm very tired...lol! :)

- On the photo is not a bell pepper but a sweet pointed pepper.
- Sweet pepper (also known as Jon's Head or a pepper in the United Kingdom, Canada and Ireland and a capsicum in Australia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Singapore and New Zealand), is a cultivar group of the species Capsicum annuum.
Cultivars of the plant produce fruits in different colors, including red, yellow, orange, green, chocolate/brown, vanilla/white, and purple.
Peppers are native to Mexico, Central America, and northern South America.
Peppers are botanically fruits, but are generally considered in culinary contexts to be vegetables.
- Sweet pointed peppers
Sweet pointed peppers are unmistakably members of the sweet pepper family. They are however quite a bit sweeter than ordinary sweet peppers. They also have a thinner skin, and therefore won't repeat on you as much as ordinary sweet peppers may do.
Sweet pointed peppers can be eaten either raw or cooked.
Being so very sweet, sweet pointed peppers make ideal snacks to still hunger pangs between meals. Thanks to their shape they can also be attractively stuffed with cream cheese or minced meat and then served as a first course or a side dish. They taste great grilled too.

- Zoete puntpaprika
One day, not so long ago, a bouquet of small fresh tulips was brought into my studio.
Their subtle fragrance took me straight into Spring as I stood with my eyes closed.
I opened the stubborn packaging, open they fell when I saw one of them bowing across to one, so longingly, so lovingly!
I looked through the rest, to see what they were telling me and when I came back to the two lovers, they had moved closer and were kissing!
AAHH, how could I separate them, no no, so I kept them together and they lived happily ever after.
LOLOL

As thunderstorm mature and begin to degenerate, there is a mass of cold air that 'blows' out of bottom of the storm. These winds often yield interesting cloud formations.
These are Iris and I was hoping they might have fully opened, by now, but as yet they haven't!

RED TENEMENT HOUSE at 12 Gdańska Street is the former tenement house of the Izrael K. Poznański Cotton Products Association.
Initially, it was intended for higher-level technical and office staff.
The tenement house at Długa Street (currently Gdańska Street) was built in the years 1897-1900.
The author of the design was Adolf Zeligson, one of the most interesting architects of Łódź at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
These are a 'specialty' Tulip, with pointed petals, when they open completely, they look like stars... and this one was a superstar, with the odd green bit grown in.
To me: quirky=interesting=special.
Have a wonderful day, and thank you for your time and comments, M, (*_*)

This is the top for my DQS10 partner... I hope you like owls!!! LOL! I'm still thinking of adding some stitching to the adult owls feet, and tacking the bitty quilt down, but quilting is coming soon!

Its finally done!
Clocking in at 89(ish) studs, this is easily one of my largest creations (my 2015 SHIPtember SHIP was about 25 studs longer than this).
It was originally going to be a SHIP, but as many people pointed out in my WIP's, it was out of proportion when it was 100 studs long.
I based this off of Greg Broadmore's concept art of the District 9 ship: www.gregbroadmore.com/imgpg.php?page=208.
I'm extremely satisfied with how this came out, especially with all of the angles, colors, and general structural integrity. My favorite part has got to be either the landing pods or the front of the ship.
Now I would like to say the thank you's. :)
Thank you to Vakkron, 4estFeller, Simon Liu, Noel Peterson, Lee Barton, Sioka Sculpting, and all the rest of you for encouraging me, critiquing my WIP's (which was painful at times, but in the end I'm very grateful), and helping me push through till the end. I wouldn't have been able to make this as good as it is without your guy's help, (at least I'm hoping it's good... ;) ).
So enough rambling, you guys rock, and I hope that you all like my latest MOC!
Comments, critiques, and criticism would all be appreciated!
Soli Deo Gloria!
