Norton Point in Edgartown is a great place to be at the end of a day of fishing. You get great views of the sun setting over Katama Bay and Edgartown, even when rendered as black & white.
The mountains of Vancouver Island are visible from a hilltop on Pilkey Point Road on Thetis Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Waiting for the sun to show itself at Newton Point,Northumberland.This beautiful stretch of coast is owned by the National Trust and offers some great views of Dunstanburgh castle to the south,across to Beadnell and the distant Farne Islands to the north.
I was hoping to find a spot i stumbled across a few months back,but im sure it was underwater this morning as the whole area looked totally different.Non the less the sunrise was very nice,but very bright and intense along the horizon.A few more clouds to diffuse the light would have helped immensely.

Iconic Waterfall in Yellowstone. Can just see part of a rainbow to the right of the falls.
I captured this Rhododendron bloom in our front entrance on my way to work this morning. I like the way the waterdrops have arrows pointing to the center.
Built in 1926 and still in operation. At 67 feet above ground level and 185 feet above sea level, the light beam is visible up to 28 miles off shore.

Park Point has three backcountry sites, two on the lake and one inland. The inland one is between this wetland (bugs!) and a meadow (more bugs!) with less breeze than the (buggy!) shoreline sites. Good wildlife viewing across the meadow, though.
There's a small ford just south of this point.

La pointe du Millier est un cap situé sur la commune de Beuzec Cap Sizun, entre le pays de Douarnenez et le Cap-Sizun, situé à l'extrême ouest de la Bretagne, dont les falaises atteignent jusqu'à 70 mètres de hauteur. Cette pointe forme l'entrée de la baie de Douarnenez avec le cap de la Chèvre.

At Frenchman's Lake in the Sierra Valley area there are several dirt roads leading down to picnic and fishing spots. One of these roads is called 'turkey point'..less than a quarter miles after you turn onto this road on the left side is a ginormous fallen tree that that must have hundreds of woodpecker holes drilled into it hosting nesting for Nuthatches, House Wrens, Chickadees, Sapsuckers and Woodpeckers. It is just amazing! I think next time I will bring a stool to just sit and shoot!...:)
