honeysuckle overtakes me
rich perfume penetrates my pores
i’m drunk on its sweetness
the air is still; the birds rest
gently chirping amongst the leaves
trees stand tall; branches lifted
like graceful ballerinas
about to pirouette
clouds diffuse the sun’s glare
while colors pulse...

This man is a regular poet at the San Jose Poetry Slam. His poem on this night was about his divorce after 27 years (I believe) of marriage. A sonnet no less. I had to capture the moment.
Blue Sea Village on the lake that my grandparents spent may summers with their children and grandchildren.
He wrote a poem about this lake that my mother recited to me may times as a child. I have never forgotten his words and I have decided to dedicate a few of my books to the man that inspired my love for nature an beauty.
I thought I was time to return to this place and try and capture some of my grandfathers words.
It's as beautiful as he said and not spoiled by commercialism as I had a difficult time finding a place to stay.. and only one place to rent a boat and they were not ready for rental.

the poem is by robert frost. the text is helvetica but printed out and then transfered using a blender to get the grunge texture then scanned and edited in photoshop for color
