Lavender Pods is an arrangement of pods on a light box. the image was inverted and a filter applied.

A pod of Killer Whales (Orcinus orca) swims in search of salmon or other prey along the west shores of Alaska near Juneau, U.S.A.

Dnes krátko pred 5-tou hodinou rannou prekročil Česko-Slovenskú hranicu zvláštny vlak pod názvom Retro Train, v čele ktorého sa ukázala kedysi žilinská "žehlička" 110.021 a 749.247.

Jedná sa o druhý ročník výletneho vlaku, naprieč najkrajšími slovenskými železničnými traťami. Trasa vlaku je naplánovaná z Prahy cez Čadcu-Vrútky-Kremnicu-Zvolen-Muráň-Humenné-Margecany-Telgárt-Banskú Bystricu-Vrútky a späť do Prahy.

Seed Pods

Ultimo baño que hemos podido fotografiar del Pito Real a principios de noviembre, esta temporada de invierno se ha limitado a algunas visitas al campo en torno al comedero sin hacer caso del kaki al que era adicto el pasado año.

I loved the look of this seed pod (from an agapanthus). Looked like a little bunch of aliens in a boat :)

Background color provided by a distant brick commercial building (brightly lit by the setting sun). Texas Medical Center, Houston. Manually focused (cool and easy with the visual aids provided by the R6) because autofocus failed to acquire the desired subject in full shade.

Maybe (poisonous) Sennabean (Sesbania drummondii). Please feel free to correct me or guess. There were definitely Sennabeans nearby with 4-sided capsules that rattled in the breeze; this looks slightly different. Perhaps just older, capsule thinning and no longer taut : ))

Drought tolerant with wonderful yellow flowers spring.

I was very intrigued by the translucency of this tiny little pod with it's wispy tentacles coming from the top. I have no idea what it is.... about 1/4 inch in size.
