One of more than 24 tiger pelts confiscated in law enforcement busts in Sumatra. Of the 32 men arrested in these busts, all but two received custodial sentences ranging on average from 15-30 months.

Makore (pronounced Mak-orr-ee, meaning "clouds") came to Tikki Hywood Trust after being retrieved from a poaching case on 02/08/15. She weighed a mere 3.5 kg and is approximately 5 - 7 months old. At this age, it is likely that she would have still been with her mother, learning foraging skills, but she would have been weaned. It is possible that her wound may have been caused by a sharp piece of wire—but, nearly a month later, the wound is almost completely healed.
Mhepo (pronounced Meh-po, meaning “wind”) was retrieved from a poaching incident on 02/21/15. She is also approximately 5 - 7 months old. Luckily, she does not have any injuries—but is thin. Young pangolins must stay with Tikki Hywood Trust to grow up a little more before it is safe to release them. At this age and small size, and without a protective parent, they could be vulnerable to predators. Therefore, pangolins are released once they have improved to a satisfactory condition. timmy ho did a bit of a fashion shoot in karpeles manuscript museum a couple weeks ago, followed by some casual fun stuff outside. i was just hanging out with my film cameras (and by that i mean laughing at tom while he looked at everything through his horseman magnifier), and i snapped this one of kristen.
