Pleased with my home maple, its seasonal foliage is really colourful!

Shot with a7II + Zeiss 85/1,8

Pleased with how the lighting came out on these, I think maybe a cloud passed overhead.

Very pleased to see this one, a fairly early example? Departement 23 is Creuse, a little way north from where I saw it.

Colour is similar to the Majorette diecast version I have. I think that has a slightly damaged front bumper too.

Pleased to have had this selected for the Winter Group Show at Linden Hall Studio. 01/12/21 to 29/01/22 - a great roster of artists that somehow I slipped into.

Very pleased to see this, had seen it on the move about 4 years prior and assumed it'd be dead at this point.

I was/am so pleased with how my de-bayered SIGMA fp has performed that I couldn't resist going for a de-bayered SIGMA fp L (61MP). I finally go the chance to try it out in November, having managed to chase down a small hole in the clouds in northern Italy. The conditions were hard: The wind-side of the car was covered with ice before I had finished the set-up, so that I run out of juice before I could get all the data I wanted, nevertheless im still really pleased with the result. There is some really nice "smoking gun" effects in the S-II data that I wasn't aware of before (and didn't see in the 5 minute subs) so I will definitely be looking for an off-center composition next time i'm out ...

Star colour from a SIGMA fp shot separately.

Images processed in AstroPixelProcessor and completed to taste in Photoshop. Total time around 2,5 hours ...

PS start point: Ha Red / S-II Red+Green / O-III Green+Blue / star colours are uncalibrated.

Pleased to see several of these this morning but the weather wasn't the best for photography. In pretty much mint condition.

I’m not actually sure if these are egrets, but the title sounded good… :-) I’ll figure out what they are eventually. The white one had just caught a fish in front of me; the other one came swooping in to join in the fishing and the white one wasn’t too pleased… this is only at 80mm and modest crop (from 4x3 to 1x1) so it gives an idea of how close they came to me.

Pleased I cottoned onto this.

Every year Atlanta has a month-long photography festival that is comprised of various events and programs. It's called Atlanta Celebrates Photography. I've never paid much attention to it, but this year it's different. I'm trying to do things that I've always been afraid to do.

Today, I participated in an accessible exhibition called My Atlanta - Postcards of a city. It's an exhibition anyone can enter and there are some small awards that are given out.

The event is described like this:

My Atlanta, a festival favorite, is an opportunity for photographers of all ages and with all levels of experience to exhibit their work and compete for prizes. Everyone is invited to bring work to Piedmont Park and hang it in this one-day-only glimpse at Atlanta through the eyes of its artists. Pre-registration is not required. The theme for this year’s My Atlanta is Postcards of a City.

It's a big deal that I took this seemingly small step. I had to push myself to just go do it. I was pessimistic about doing the whole week. I did it anyway (thanks for the inspiration Kim and Myla).

Lo and belhold, one of my images won an award! Second place overall!!! I'm pretty pleased.

If it weren't for the undying flickr support, I would never be able to take these little steps. Thank you all...

This is the image that won 2nd place. It was posted on flickr before, but I reworked some of the colors before I made the print...so I am posting it again...

I'm very pleased how this came out. To me personally, this is one of my best black and whites. I was battling heavy gust of winds moving my tripod and me as well! I like how I was able to show the beauty of the light and the power of the sea, as well as the details in the foreground. This was taken at Lighthouse point Park.

I am very pleased with this portrait shot of a male marmalade hoverfly (Episyrphus balteatus) using that proboscis to get to the good stuff on an intensly yellow tansy (Tanacetum vulgare).

This is another of the shots I took in the ditch beside the road while waiting for my car to be washed.

How I know this is a male hoverfly? Look at the eyes and how they are touching? That's the tell. Females have a band between the eyes instead.

In this shot you can also see a lot of small blue spots on the thorax. I have no idea if this is part of the fly or something it has picked up elsewhere. If you know, please tell me.

Crowds flock to greet Little Amal at Victoria Quays, Sheffield.

Little Amal is the giant puppet, travelling 8,000km in support of refugees. The 3.5 metre tall living artwork of a young Syrian refugee child has walked across Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and the UK to focus attention on the urgent needs of young refugees.

Henrietta was very pleased to have Grandpa back and gave him lots of cuddles :))

Pleased to say this photograph made it to print in the Telford Journal 26/6/15 :)

Hello everyone!

I'm so warm and pleased to share with you my last and final project for August, I've been so tirelessly busy working on all of my client projects and I've left the grand one for the end. This beautiful European styled approach to living is phenomenal, a large manor quarters with beautiful gardens surrounding the clean modern interiors throughout. Restored on the inside with a 21st-century intake. 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 dining spaces, 4 living rooms, 4 car garage, and plenty more for my gorgeous clients. Traditional meets Modern design. The gardens are very lush which compliments well with the interior spaces.

Do you ever just take a shot because ..... not really sure why? But you just know there's something there? This is through a not so clean screened front window, morning sun shining in, lots of bird activity. I was actually after my friend the woodpecker but he escaped very quickly, as usual. I did increase the detail slightly in Topaz. Personally, I like this one a lot. :)

Pleased with all the different cosmos flower colours this year. Always a great one to do from seed. I had so many gave them away to friends and family too. Just making sure the bees have a chance! ;0)

Was so pleased to catch this pre-dive moment.

Pleased to see the picture ended on Flickr's Explore but I wonder why? The picture is OK but not very good...

Poor little Oscar wanted to join me and Charlie on the fields this morning and wasn't too pleased when we sent him back home...

Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety. Dark green is also commonly associated with money.

Green has great healing power. It is the most restful color for the human eye; it can improve vision. Green suggests stability and endurance.

From the internet..

A busy day, out for the whole duration and not much time for shooting. I was at a family party and ended up borrowing a giant handful of straws - I wondered what they'd look like with my macro lens and lit from underneath :)

They almost look like single celled organisms to me.

Pleased to see this Harris's Sparrow today, a lifer for me! And thanks to the experienced birder there that helped with the ID! Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge

We had a fabulous day yesterday. We had driven up to Chiswick to look at a sofa shop which only took half an hour so we went to Chiswick Gardens - somewhere we have not been before. The sun was shining the sky was blue and the gardens were so peaceful. Crossing a bridge over the river we saw a coot on her nest right underneath us and were delighted to see her eggs had just hatched and the babies had only just arrived.

Some fun shots in wishing you a very good weekend......

On a walk the other day I met this lovely very LARGE dog....one of my favorite breeds. The cue actually was 'gimme a high five'......but we both decided this would do....

The picture in comment one really shows the joke is on me....

Enjoy the weekend my friends! Thank you for your visit...

Pat...xo.....

Shortly after this walk, it started snowing....9 inches we got....April 3....but the air is of spring so no matter.
