"I can play...
I can play hard
Catch me at the bar
You're fuckin' with a star
'Cause I can play hard
Hard...
I can play hard
Whiskey and cigars
You're watchin' from afar
How I can play hard
I can play... (Hard)
I can play... (Hard)
Burning holes in the back of my head
Hanging on to every word that I said
Got your heart in the palm of my hand
(In the palm of my hand)
I can play hard
Catch me at the bar
You're fuckin' with a star
'Cause I can play hard
Hard...
I can play hard
Whiskey and cigars
You're watchin' from afar
How I can play hard
I'm in the...
I'm in the spotlight
On your knees, got you holding your breath
Demons out, but you're better off dead
Bottled up, get it off my chest
(Get it off my chest)
I can play hard
Catch me at the bar
You're fuckin' with a star
'Cause I can play hard
Hard...
I can play hard
Whiskey and cigars
You're watchin' from afar
How I can play hard
I can play..."

This Tawny Owl was playing peekaboo with me from behind the tree it was hiding behind. I don't often find them out in the daytime so it's always a treat to come across one. This one has rather rufous plumage, though some are rather grey like this: www.flickr.com/photos/timmelling/49970734671/in/photolist In the earliest British bird books they were thought to be different species. Some books still refer to them as rufous and grey phase Tawny Owls but this is wrong as a phase is a transitional plumage, and Tawny Owls are rufous or grey throughout their life. So rufous or grey morph would be a better way to describe them. The same is true for pale and dark morph Arctic Skuas, they are not phases.
I tried different creations with these beauties.
Although the common name is Aster and they are known to many by that name, the genus is Callistephus.
There is a genus of Aster with approximately 180 species.
This Callistephus Aster has a large solitary flower head at the top of the stem and sometimes on branches

I have been unwell with a cold and went to bed early to rest up, but Pixie was having none of that: she followed me upstairs and went straight into play mode

It is a photo shot last year, but I found when looking in my archive.
This picture was taken in Borneo's Danum Valley. The primary forest there is just enchanting. These two guys were all day with their respective Mumms but in the evening they joined a shared play-ground.

Often when I pat Bart he'll soon plop onto the floor and roll around, wanting me to play with him. If I extend my hand toward him, though, he bats at it and lightly bites my fingers. I sometimes switch to using a wand toy at that point.
