May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

My daughter built this "apartment building" with the help of her little brother (and some favorite authors). Providing structural support are Melissa Wiley, Lemony Snicket, C.S. Lewis, Laura Ingalls Wilder, and various American Girl authors (their books make a nice, light roof).
To heal, I decided to play with play-doh to take my mind of all that has been hurting me these past two weeks. I opened my mind and decided to create, to show love to the world to heal and reconstruct my being. I molded the playdoh into four figures. I closed my mind to the outside world and decided to focus on building whatever came to my mind, whatever it wanted to express, whatever it strived to be. I decided there was no deadline nor expectation; that I would take the time I needed to heal myself. With the utmost calm in the world, I created a being with a little bun on top, covered with a tunic; a flower of coconuts, and a miniature island with a palm tree reclining in a square shaped rock with a rose on top. These 4 figures I created and shared with my close family. It showed me how we must somehow go back and be a kid with no stress for our obligations, no anxiety for the future and no concern or worry for the present. We must be one with ourselves to truly reach Heaven. This playdoh therapy helped me realize I strive to live with the simples of things:
with just enough food to satiate and fuel my body
with just enough clothes to show my personality (nothing out of this world). with just enough friends and family to keep growing and evolving
with only people that can add and not subtract to my life
with only those who love me and God, nothing else
with travel as part of my daily routine (traveling to nature, to the garden, to class, etc.), but only where God wants me to travel to impact and help others thrive
to ease other’s burden and improve their quality of life
to be a safe haven for others to come and live
to be a caring mother who eternally loves her 5 children, even more than how much my mother, family, and friends live

Here are some of the shots I chose for the prints of my final project of my color photography class. The title of the project is called, Playing House. Go ahead and draw your own conclusions on what that means. These are all self-portraits and they definitely plays into the concept. Feedback would be great appreciated!
Took a number of shots of the new adventure play equipment all over the park. I liked this treatment the best. Almost a silhouette looking up to the top of a hill.
More photos from the playground with Emil can be found on my blog.
