Passed this platform while on the New Hope Valley Railway excusion train ride. Somewhere between Bonsal and New Hill, North Carolina.
I seem to have a certain fascination with this particular section of Rolfe Street Station, but here we have a slight variation on the theme as I look across from the Wolverhampton platform in September 2007
Elephant and Castle station has been going under a re-fit for 6 months now. The tube workers prepare for another night of retiling and painting.
Scaffolding is put together in peices bg enough to fit into the passenger lifts, taken down onto the flatforms and then those peices make up bigger peices. It's amazing to watch.
The man in a red crossed circle highlighting that passengers must not pass this point. He can be found at the end of near enough every platform on every station on the UK rail network. This particular sign being located at the end of the Westbound platform at Russell Square station on the Piccadilly line.
What I hadn't noticed for many many years was just how awkward the man is walking. Would anyone actually walk like that?

This was my first time at this station, its actually one of the better ones on the network well looked after and no litter in sight, in fact even at 8pm on a Sunday night one of the security staff was present and wasn't afraid to get a brush out! all credit to him for his hard work 5 stars!
