Work progressing well on platform 10 on Friday 15th November 2013. This platform will be reopened in February 2014 and will become an additional platform for London-bound trains, allowing a second train to enter the station whilst platform 11 is occupied.

I am probably alone in thinking that numbering a platform as zero is like acknowledging it hardly exists. In this case, at Doncaster you have to walk along a walkway for a fair distance to find the platform, which hides underneath a department store.

This platform at the Mountain Railway was getting busy as the train pulled up for the next trip into the Beacons.

Seen in a window just South of Davey's Uptown Ramblers Club on Main St, Kansas City, MO. Holy Moly - I used to walk around in similar things in the early-mid 1970s....lucky I didn't break my legs!

An old rotting platform standing off Spurn Point in East Yorkshire, I've no idea what it's purpose was though!

While waiting for a railtour to pass through Biggleswade station, the cold night of 12th March 2011 presented me with an opportunity to capture the rush of passengers disembarking from a First Capital Connect service. At this moment, the pair of unidentified Class 365s that ferried them to Platform 3 were seconds away from departing.

Our weekly organ picture is followed by our weekly Ostkreuz photo - this time it's platform E where all the S-Bahn trains on the Silesian line (Erkner, Köpenick, Karlshorst etc.) make its stop. Pay attention to the simple but still beautiful pillars!

On the day I left the South Coast driving cross-country to our new home in Maine. I miss this view. Not sure how it looks now as the platform was already in the process of being dismantled then. The platform was always a welcome sight when I drove back from the North as I knew I'd be home in five minutes.
