On one of the many construction sites in and around Astana during winter, the bright orange-yellow really stands out against the cold white of ice and snow. Of course the black and white with selected color gives the image greater impact I hope.

At Moorland Gate Business Park, Chorley this morning I saw this Volvo FH480, operated by MNJ Plant.
The 4X2 Volvo has a centre lift axle and is coupled to a 3 axle fixed neck low loader trailer.
On board are three Thwaites dumpers.

An unusual beast to find lurking on a Dorsetshire farm a couple of years ago, was this Caterpillar 631B Motor Scraper. If I remember rightly, the owner told me it was going to be cut-up for its engine.

Seen at the 2025 East Midlands Steam and Country Show at Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire
Although this photo of a 1979 Priestman Mustang 120 Mk.3 tracked excavator was taken 10 years ago, I am pleased to say that this machine is still working in Wiltshire and is currently taxed until the end of March in 2021. Their earlier machines looked like sheds on tracks, but these later ones were far more sophisticated.
