The plane of the Tibidabo is a reply to real scale of the Rohrbach Roland, plane that it use the airline Iberia on December 14, 1927 to do the first commercial flight of the company, with the distance Barcelona - Madrid (current airports: The Prat and Carabanchel). The Passenger of honor was the King Alfonso XIII, who went 2 hours before in another plane to see this one how it was landing in Madrid. But the rain delays the flight. This model of plane already it was using from 1926 the German airline Lufthansa for its regional flights. The original plane has three engines Made by BMW, and a capacity for 10 passengers. In total there were created in Germany 18 real planes, of which 3 belonged to Iberia, When Lufthansa withdraws them to change them into more modern planes.

Brezhnev's legendary plane

A plane just happened to cross my lens on the same angle as the Milky Way. This was shot with my 50mm f/1.8 lens so I guess I struck it lucky aiming in the exact spot!

We were at Markham Park searching for the Western Spindalis when I looked out towards the street and saw what I thought was a RC plane that had wrecked into the back of a bike. It turned out that the guy on the bike was transporting his plane on his bike.

This is a post war (WW2) model. It that was originally lacquer in black/dark brown, however due to the poor condition of the lacquer it was re-finished with wood stain and varnish.

The infills are beech and the rear handle appears to be mahogany.

We are away at the cottage with no proper internet access, so I have pre-posted some past photos of the place. Hopefully, I can log in long enough through cell coverage to make them public. I regret that I will not be able to visit you and make comments for the next few days.

This structure was once a planer mill but has been converted into a bug-free zone for hassle free reading and lounging.

A plane flew through the Belt of Orion this evening as I was taking photos on the road at Newgrange!
