This was complete luck. I clicked the shutter just as the plane entered the frame. I really like this. My daughter was with me, and she couldn't figure out what I was all excited about, until she saw the shot on the LCD. Moments like these are what keep us shooting!

This was definitely one of my all time favourite photos in the challenge -- I wish I had more time to do it justice! Loved playing with the textures and subtle changes in colour throughout the piece.

When I was out taking photos in the snow, I heard a small plane heading my way. As I already had my camera in my hand, I was able to capture it.
Does anyone know what sort it is?
A shot I took earlier this month in Guernsey with the Red Arrows flying over St Peter Port to celebrate the Channel Islands Liberation. The islands in the background are Sark on the left and Jersey in the distant right.
This is the only surviving photographic image of a "Dingo" fighter - the famed aircraft cobbled-together from limited supplies in the face of Imperial blockade during the First Antipodean War.
