Basquete de Jacareí estreia com vitória no Paulista da A-2
O Jacareí Basketball/Fíbria/JTU/Ativia estreou no Campeonato Paulista Masculino da Série A-2 com uma vitória em casa, por 80 a 63 (39 a 36 no primeiro tempo), contra o Abdala Sports/Sejelp/Pindamonhangaba. O jogo foi realizado no EducaMais Espaço Centro, na noite desta quinta-feira (2).
Nesta primeira partida do campeonato, apesar da vitória, o time jacareiense não agradou o técnico André Luís Barreto da Silva, o Deco.
“É sempre bom começar um campeonato com vitória, mas não jogamos bem.
Não tivemos alguém que fizesse a diferença na partida e temos time para melhorar muito. Agora é trabalhar para o próximo jogo”, disse o técnico André Luís Barreto da Silva, o Deco.
O pivô Paulão, que fez sua estreia no time, também disse que precisa melhorar.
“Fizemos um bom jogo, mas ainda não estou no melhor da minha forma física. Preciso trabalhar mais a parte física para chegar ao nível dos outros jogadores”, disse o atleta.
O Jacareí Basketball/Fíbria/JTU/Atívia volta a jogar no dia 11 de setembro (sábado), às 19h, também no ginásio do EducaMais Centro, contra o Unifrada/ Nutrileite/ Dracena.

The Pindaya Caves are a major Buddhist pilgrimage site and tourist attraction set in the hills overlooking the small town of Pindaya. The main cave contains hundreds of gilded Buddha images, crammed into every available space within, dating from the late 18th century onwards and is entered through the Shwe U Min (Golden Cave) Pagoda built into the hillside.

The entrance to the complex is guarded by an intriguing giant spider sculpture, sitting surreally amongst the more normal zedis and stupas. He references the local legend of the monster that imprisoned seven princesses within the cave centuries ago, and was slain by a passing prince with a bow and arrow (although he wasn't all hero, he only rescued the princesses on condition that one married him!). The prince's figure stands nearby, but the spider got the last laugh, his statue is more popular by far!
