NOLA didn't offer the same finds with wildlife, so I captured what I could find. Domesticated Pigeons was the only find in the city.
The pigeon here is a beautiful bird, of a delicate bronze colour, tinged with pink about the neck, and the wings marked with green and purple.

The Spinifex Pigeon (Geophaps plumifera) is a small pigeon found throughout much of arid and semi-arid northern and central Australia. It lives in arid and semi-arid stony habitats on rocky hills and mountainous terrain, gorges, dry rocky creek beds, and nearby gibber plains. It is most often encountered in habitats containing hummock-forming grasses, which are known colloquially as 'spinifex grasses.' Three subspecies are recognised; the individual in this image is a Pilbara Spinifex Pigeon from the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The Pilbara region is rich in iron ore, hence the red earth in the background. Traces of this red soil are visible on the pigeon's beak and plumage.
