For Macro Mondays - Pick Two

This small hand-crafted ceramic bowl measuring 2.25" wide, was created by artist Acoma D. Reano in 2001. I purchased it during one of my visits to the American Southwest. HMM, everyone ! !

I've had this little mettalic basket forever - not even sure where I got it. It is about 3 inches in size and has the most interesting braided pattern. I looked over at my shelf and knew that I had my "pick two".

For Macro Mondays theme 'Pick Two' (pink flower).
I have a pink lupin in a pot, so it could be moved to a location that provided a nice background bokeh. The snail was harder to organise - ever since starting my Gastropod Relocation Programme, snails are much more difficult to find, it took me three days of searching to find this tiny juvenile - the shell was approximately 1 cm across.
No snails were harmed in the making of this photograph.
A piece of glass tumbled smooth by the actions of the waves. I wonder where this has travelled and how long it has been in the sea before being washed ashore
I was going to choose "damaged glass" but I think it has too much of a story and is too pretty to be titled damaged!

Macro Mondays -- theme "Pick Two"
After I decided to do a bottle cap shot, I headed off to the liquor store to find one. I selected a white wine with a blue bottle cap, a red wine with red cap, and, surprisingly to me, I found a pink one! It contains a lovely Australian Shiraz which I am drinking right now. :-)
I had a question about the wine and a clerk came to help me. She told me a bit about it then asked if a Shiraz was what I was looking for. I said "Well, actually, I am selecting wines by the colour of the screw off cap. " And went on to say "It's a long story". The clerk managed to keep a polite smile on her face but you should have seen the expressions on the faces of a couple of nearby customers. It's making me laugh right now just thinking about it.
We travelled past a field of poppies on the way back home from Wells-next-the-Sea. This was the ‘real deal’, a field with a distinct red haze, as the poppies basked together in the sunshine. We stopped the car and I walked up the field, on the footpath, taking photographs as I went. Here’s a bit of a poppy, heading for Macro Mondays tomorrow. Taken with the lens on macro, then cropped to highlight colour and light.
HMM...... today, 1/21, the macromondays group's theme is "pick two", one from list 1 and one from list 2... this is one of three possibilities. my 2 favorites are this one and the jellyfish paperweight. let the dithering begin :)

The hollyhock started to bloom yesterday with these pink flowers, how beautiful is the inside of them !
The pollen create lovely bokeh.

For macro monday theme - Pick two - flower and yellow, plus a bit of frost too! With a bright sunny day to follow. This little flower was about 2.5cm across!
