I've had this little mettalic basket forever - not even sure where I got it. It is about 3 inches in size and has the most interesting braided pattern. I looked over at my shelf and knew that I had my "pick two".

Pink Flower for MacroMondays theme #PickTwo

For Macro Mondays challenge this week I went with spiny caterpillar which is curved and is an insect, which just happened to be hanging out where I was doing some yard work.

If you fav this photo please leave a comment as to why you like it, thanks in advance.

Theme: Pick Two (Curved Pottery)

Still recovering from a thumb/wrist injury so may not be on Flickr as often.

I picked 'blue' and 'flower' from the list for this weeks Macro Mondays 'Pick Two' theme. Tried a couple of other combinations but liked this one best.

I threw a couple of handfuls of wildflower seeds in my garden a few years ago and this beautiful nigella is one of the many recurring results.

posted for Macro Mondays' theme of the day: Pick Two (blue and flower)

GROUP: MACRO MONDAYS

THEME: PICK TWO

SUBJECT: A KATYDID

(not quite an inch and a half)

I have seen these by our rose bushes but I have never seen them this small. I was sitting by the picnic table by the lake the other day when this very tiny "thing" landed in front of me. The body was no more than 1/4" but the hind legs and the antennae were about 1/2" long! When I went home I went straight to google!

"Insects in the family Tettigoniidae are commonly called katydids (in Australia, South Africa, Canada, and the United States),[1] or bush crickets.[2] They have previously been known as "long-horned grasshoppers".[3] More than 6,400 species are known. Part of the suborder Ensifera, the Tettigoniidae are the only extant (living) family in the superfamily Tettigonioidea.

They are primarily nocturnal in habit with strident mating calls. Many katydids exhibit mimicry and camouflage, commonly with shapes and colors similar to leaves.[4]" - Wikipedia

For Macro Mondays theme; "Pick Two". HMM!

This is a macro of the intertwined and twisted stems of what my wife calls the 'fortune plant'. I don't really know what these plants are called.

HMM! Pick Two

Caribou Crossing Canadian Whisky. Photographed in front of a black felt cloth. Under 3 inches. Admittedly “low hanging fruit” for this “open” theme.

Created for Macro Mondays theme "pick two", wanted to have something out of the garden, a flower, lucky we have a lot of pink flowers :)

From the lists I selected "Pink" and "Flower"

"Macro Monday`s" Pick Two.

HMM...... today, 1/21, the macromondays group's theme is "pick two", one from list 1 and one from list 2... this is one of three possibilities. my 2 favorites are this one and the jellyfish paperweight. let the dithering begin :)

this portion of the "candy wrapper" is just a tad over 2 inches

I chose my Delicate Stone for Macro Mondays. I’m happy I was invited to the group!! I have wanted to be a member of this group for a while now. So I do appreciate the invite and I apologize for the confusion on my part🙏. Found in West Virginia!!! Proof that this place was covered by the ocean. My husband found this while working out in the field sampling water at a coal mine.
