Esto es lo que captas con el 18mm sino haces una panorámica, aunque bueno, me gusta la toma y el resultado después de procesarla también.
Aquí os dejo otra serie de Torrelobatón y ya hasta el lunes nada, que me voy de "excursión" por más pueblos :) que lo paséis bien este finde.

On my first unaided walk on Sunday I noticed these bud emrging from I am not sure whether a Maple or a Birch tree. These are very small maybe two inches in diameter so shot up close with the 50mm this is what I got.

Una aventura en el oriente De El Salvador, esta ves toco observar aves en la famosa Laguna el Jocotal San Miguel, el Salvador, rreconocida internacionalmente como sitio RAMSAR por su gran diversidad de aves nativas y migratorias, su riqueza es de gran importancia, desafortunadamente nuestras autoridades no ponen importancia a los recursos ambientales de nuestro pais y esos se nota desde el momento que ingresa a dicho sitio.
De fondo el Volcán Chaparrastique
a 142 kilometros desde la ciudad capital,llegamos al municipio de El transito San Miguel luego por una calle manejamos 500 metros y listo a Pajarear.
un poco de informacion
La Laguna El Jocotal, está ubicada en el municipio de El Tránsito, departamento de San Miguel, su altitud es de 24 msnm, su extensión es de aproximadamente 500 manzanas.
Ha recibido diferentes distinciones por la riqueza de su biodiversidad: en 1976 como área natural protegida. En 1983 se declaró como un “santuario de aves” y como primer sitio “Ramsar” en 1996, estos reconocimientos la convierten como un atractivo turístico de El Salvador.
Sus habitantes en su mayoría se dedican a la pesca la cual combinan con los trabajos agrícolas, existe una cooperativa pesquera, formada por más de 250 miembros, también han formado un comité que se encarga de brindar la limpieza en la zona del embarcadero, por lo que hacen un llamado a no tirar la basura al aire libre, sino en los respectivos depósitos.
La Laguna es básicamente de depresión, formada por las aguas subterráneas del manto de lava del volcán Chaparrastique, cuenta con dos drenajes, uno natural y otro artificial, ambos drenan hacia el Río Grande de San Miguel.
There seems to be some wish to see it the other way up. Personally I don't really think it works. The point is that it is a refraction and so upside down, and one gets away with imperfections. This one is definitely not perfect enough.

Panoramica compuesta por tres tomas
El Lago del Valle es el de mayor extensión de la Cordillera Cantábrica y está emplazado en un antiguo circo glaciar, con paredes subverticales y en el frente se puede observar depósitos irregulares, angulosos y de muy diferente tamaño (morrenas). Tiene forma de herradura, con una pequeña isla en el centro. Su perímetro es de unos 2.000 m, con 45 m. de calado máximo, fue recrecido artificialmente para su aprovechamiento hidroeléctrico. El valle tiene forma de U y a lo largo de él se pueden contemplar grandes bloques irregulares y estriados que fueron transportados por el antiguo glaciar, sobre algunos se observan arboles, que dan al paisaje un tono pintoresco. Se han catalogado más de 200 especies de fauna como el lobo, águila real, oso pardo, urogallo....En las zonas altas hay casas con techo de escoba (teitos) que han estado siempre ligadas a la vida trashumante y ganadera de los vaqueiros de alzada

Another reverse-lens macro. I think the plant is a Grevillea of some description, I picked a flower when I was on one of my walks and brought it home to photograph, flowers in my own garden being in short supply :-)
It's freezing here at the moment and they are forecasting snow, our first touch of winter after a very warm May.

this was taken in October of last year - one of the spectacular sunrises i witnessed almost every day while i was in the Philippines.
i will be on Flickr break the entire weekend - conducting a workshop at UCLA for two whole days. i will try to stop by your streams tonight but if i'm not able to, i'll see you all on Monday!

La Actinidia
è originaria della Cina continentale ed orientale; tali regioni sono caratterizzate da inverni freddi ed estati calde, nuvolose, piovose ed umide. La pianta occupa gli ambienti ripariali di fiumi e ruscelli, quindi con suolo umido e con scorrimento d'acqua.
La pianta
è una liana rampicante a foglie caduche, di notevoli dimensioni, in grado di arrivare fino a 10 m di altezza. L'ancoraggio ai supporti, in natura costituiti da alberi o rupi, avviene attraverso il fusto stesso, che nella parte terminale si avvolge come un viticcio (alla maniera dei fagioli).
Le foglie
giovani sono a forma di cuore, appuntite, ed a maturità (quando inizia a fiorire) sono nettamente tondeggianti, spesso dorsalmente convesse. I giovani getti, i piccioli delle foglie e dei fiori sono ispidi e pelosi con peli bruni. I rami più vecchi sono dotati di una corteccia grigia ruvida e verrucosa, il tronco possiende una corteccia scabra e ruvida di colore marrone grigiastro mentre i rami giovani hanno consistenza erbacea.
I frutti
sono lunghe bacche ovali con buccia robusta coperta da peli; buccia e peli hanno consistenza suberosa con forti contenuti tannici.
La polpa
è soda, dolce ed acidula; su un asse centrale più o meno fibroso di placentazione detto "columella" sono radialmente distribuiti centinaia di piccoli semi scuri, non avvertiti quando si mangia il frutto; sottili filamenti connettono ogni seme con la columella realizzando una struttura che in sezione appare "a filamenti radiali", tale struttura giustifica il nome della famiglia (Actinidiaceae) che appunto richiama dal greco la forma attinomorfa, cioè "raggiata". Tale forma è ovviamente presente anche nella struttura del fiore e dei suoi annessi, evocando un fattore di primitività. I frutti hanno dimensione molto variabile, ma comunque da una larghezza di 2-3 a 5 cm, e lunghezza da 4 ad 8 cm.
This amazing place (called the Almendres Cromlech) is one of the most ancient megalthitc "circles" in Europe (biggest in Iberia) - 2.000 years before Stonehenge still today the experts do not fully understand their meanting ... in the middle of "nowhere", near the ancient city of Evora, Portugal, it is a "sight to see" --- it is so big and vast and so many different shapes of "rocks" ... in the middle there is always a "Tree of Life" for it was a place once used to worship the Land, Mother Earth and the Sun ... if you saw my last picture you will see why I put this set...
