Not something you'd see every day either. I have no idea where this came from...

Had my MRI yesterday. THAT was an adventure. I am apparently much more claustrophobic than I realized because they pushed me in that tube, asked me if I was okay, I said yes, then immediately said no get me out of here! I was finally able to muster enough to get through it once she put a towel over my eyes so I couldn't see. I get the results today, so please keep your fingers, eyes, and toes crossed for me that it's nothing serious.

I do have to thank the love of my life for being with me and for putting up with me. I'm very lucky to have you by my side and in my life.

Yesterday was a really rough day. I have so much going on...the doctors appointments, the pain, selling a house (or trying to anyway) and the anxiety that goes with that - a lot of anxiety...I don't know, I'm very good at working myself up over things and I did that to the point of having a break down yesterday afternoon. But all is well now, I've calmed down and am back to me and I'm going to try SO hard not to work myself up again today. One thing at a time and everything's going to be okay. I just can't thank my sweetheart enough for letting me work through my emotions and get it all out and for holding me so tight and reassuring me (continually) that everything will be okay.

So, we'll figure out the back situation today (hopefully) and go from there!

I hope everyone has a nice Wednesday! Wow wait it's Wednesday already?! :)

Clouds with warm weather was mildly confusing. Regardless, we enjoyed the warm waters of Kahili Beach on the north shore of Kauai, HI. (weekly theme: "Kauai" | Hawaii, USA)

After nearly a month of no photos uploaded, I'm happy to say that I'm back. My computer fried. Just wouldn't boot one morning, and I had to get a new one, no matter what. I managed to do so today, so I'm back to uploading and trying to catch up ;)

Open book ... one of my new photography books my partner brought me ... this one is "United States of Decay".

We are placed on this earth to serve a purpose. Whether we decided to push forward and make life happen for us. Or just let it pass by us.

Photo a Day project. 3/365

Here is a perfect example of why I am a fan of providing a description or narrative with a photo: Someone looks at this and thinks, "O.K. VR, ANOTHER (neon) sign. Yawn. No. This image will never have to worry about competing for space on a museum wall. But, the story behind it is semi-interesting. Wanna'hearithereitgoes:

There was a snowstorm last night. About 5 or 6 inches here, in the central region of the People's Republic of New Jersey. Not a lot of snow. However, the Governor declared a state of emergency, schools were closed, and my workplace was closed. The temperature was not expected to get above about 15 degrees F today, and I think it was the combination of the cold and the snow that caused worry. No complaints from me. So far, so good.

It is not uncommon for me to stay in ALL day, if I do not have to work. However, I love bookstores, and I did want to browse the selections at Barnes & Noble. I did not get motivated to leave home until about 4:30pm. Headed to the bookstore (which is located in this mall), and could see that, despite the fact that the mall was open for business, the bookstore was closed. I had my camera, because I did want a shot of this sign at the "magic hour". Took this, turned around and headed home (disappointed that the bookstore was closed).

But, hey, if my workplace was closed, I guess I can't complain that the bookstore was closed. I'm sure their employees were just as happy to have a day off as I was.

So this was a bit of an improvised surprise. I saw sparkles in the lake and thought they were moderately interesting. Took the camera out, but it refused to autofocus, showing something much more magical. I played along, and after a bit of editing and flipping, here we are (weekly series: "abstract" | and surreal).

... I do not have a real favourite, if I did it probably, if cooked at home, be on this plate. I do like red meat, white meat, fish, seafood, pasta, oriental, asian, Italitan, French, some vegetables, in fact the only food I really do not like is those so called burgers from certain high street food outlets, you know who I mean
