Filing outside at work for a fire drill to test our new system. Sadly everyone was quite excited to be outside - like giddy school children! Apparently we made good time on the drill too.

Macarons Rainbow edition!
MINUS THE BEAR - "Electric Rainbow"
What did you do?
What did you do?
You got some heat on you,
Got some heat on you.
They've been tracing all your moves.
Your mark has made you his,
And if you want to live,
Let me suggest this:
"Get a gun,
And get a car.
Get on the 25 South to Mexico.
Find some place and lay low, just lay low."
I just need to check the score.
Because girl,
You've got to move.
Oh, stay lonely, stay quiet.
Stay, and you'll keep breathin' air.
How did it go so wrong, so fast?
A confidence and then a money grab.
Simple enough, simple enough a plan.
It all went to shit and you're on the run,
At least you got the cash.
At least you got the cash.
Oh, stay lonely, stay quiet.
Stay, and you'll keep breathin' air.
Oh, stay lonely, stay quiet.
Stay, and you'll keep breathin' air.
Air,
You'll keep breathin'.
The road in front of our protagonist...
Rides in.
Then you'll slip this dough,
Under pillow,
Again.
Again.
Don't bring no lights on you.
What did you do?
what did you do?
You got some heat on you.
Got some heat on you.
They've been tracing all your moves.
What did you do?
What did you do?
You got some heat on you,
Got some heat on you.
What did you do?
What did you do?
Christmas BBQ at my Dad's. We play lots of games out on the lawn and then head to Rob's Dad's for more eating.

Day 166, June 15, 2011's photo of the day
I bought this at a book sale for 50 cents a while back and it actually does have some good info in it. And that's a good thing, as 30 days from now the 48 Hour Film Project starts in Asheville, NC and I've put together a small team to compete in it! Today was a 'meet the cast/crew' lunch as some of the folks in the group haven't worked together before. We're still gathering a few more people and coming up with lists of places we may need to get permits to film on. While you can't prep a script or rehearse outside of the 48 hour window, you can scout locations, gather crew/equipment, and get some of the paperwork done for locations, since getting a permit to shoot in a certain area can require more than 48 hours. While we have no idea what kind of story we will end up doing, having as many different locations to pick from can help the writers figure out where a story can take place.
I've setup a Twitter account that both Theresa and myself will be updating as the events unfold. During the 48 hour process there really isn't a lot of time to do non-48 hour related work, but a 10-second tweet every few hours will probably be doable. Feel free to follow us if you're interested in seeing a behind the scenes glimpse of what goes into making a film in 48 hours!
As seen on www.vjl365.com.
Have to barricade the dogs on the deck because the gate has blown down and I can't get it back up.

It's a gloomy wet day and a bit tough going after a wonderful Easter weekend. Daylight Saving is over and it quickly gets dark. Blurgh.

I did a photo shoot today with Lola Dee and Amanda Garland. Make-up was done by Racheal Parrilla. My assistant was Jonathan Gonzalez and this is him with the girls. If you would like to view the pics from this series, click here. Lola Dee is also the organizer for a non-profit called Operation Recuperation. They send out care packages to US soldiers throughout the world. Thanks to everyone involved including Julia who got all ready and then couldn’t make it at the last minute.
Delightful summer evening at Rock The Park Tampa - even the garbage cans were glowing.
DEAD MILKMEN - "Methodist Coloring Book"
[Dean:] Hey there's a big airplane goin' by.
[Rodney:] Get it! Go! Go!
[Some Recording Guy:] It's on the track
[Rodney:] Leave it! Get it on the track!
[Joe:] Get it! Get it! Catch it!
[Dean:] I got it :)
You've got a methodist coloring book
And you color really well
But don't color outside the lines
Or God will send you to Hell
'Cause God hates war
And God hates crime
A' but he really hates people
Who color outside the lines
You've got a methodist coloring book
Don't color outside the lines
'Cause if God doesn't strike you with lightning
He'll at least make you go blind
Good people get sent to the attic
Bad people will roast in the cellar
But there's a special kind a' Hell
For those who just won't learn to color
God is gracious, God is good
So let's color in his book
God wears cotton, God wears rayon
He can mend a broken crayon
God is honest, He don't take payola
Let's all thank him for our Crayolas!
You got a methodist coloring book! [x3]
(ah..oh..oh) [x2]
You got a methodist coloring book! [x3]
(oh..oh..oh.. [a very emotional performance])
You've got a methodist coloring book
And you color really well
But don't color out side the lines
Or God will send you to Hell
