ZAANDAM - Hembrug- Na zeven jaar reizen is het nu de tijd voor zeven jaar delen.

Streets of the World opent een fotomuseum in de monumentale opslagplaats met de duistere naam "Magazijn De Dood".

Alle 195 foto's worden levensgroot tentoongesteld.

De expositieruimte telt 3800 m2 verdeeld over drie verdiepingen met verschillende trappenhuizen en verborgen ruimtes.

ZAANDAM - Hembrug - After seven years of travelling, it is now time for seven years of sharing.

Streets of the World opens its own museum on the Hembrug. A mysterious location . In a monumental warehouse darkly named "Death Storage", all 195 Lifesize pictures are displayed.

The space covers an area of 3800 m2 divided over three floors with several stairwells and hidden spaces.

I just had to cross to the other side of the road a couple of times to look at the beach of Slapton Sands. Torcross is on the right while Start Point Lighthouse still manages to dominate the local area

Tech Details: If your curious how one takes a photograph of all of one's photo gear the answer is you borrow a friends camera from down the street (a Rebel XT/350D with a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L lens).

Lighting provided by one White Lighting X1600 to camera right difused through a large softbox, with another White Lighting X1600 to camera right difused through a beauty dish (hey it was easier than getting out another softbox, it was late and I was really tired). Background is two pieces of black foam core, with a piece of clear plexi on top of the bottom piece of foam core. Triggered by a good ole-fashioned sync cable connected to a Nikon AS-15 on the hot shoe since the RebelXT/350D lacks a PC Sync connector.

2023 Photo 150/215: I shot this landscape today at the Peaks of Otter on the Blue Ridge Parkway to fulfill my 365-day obligation and because I told Patrick Cray that I would shoot with a legacy Nikon screw-drive autofocus lens and report on it. I used an AF Nikkor 85mm f1.8 lens and shot as wide-open as I could to get minimum depth-of-field and maximum bokeh. The lens autoindexed the aperture to my Z-mount camera -- a Z7ii -- but the focus was manual-only, though made easier because it's a wide-aperture lens and a lot of light gets collected to enable bright focusing. I will continue to use this lens for portraits. That's what it's best for because of the long minimum-focusing distance and the mild telephone. ©2023 John M. Hudson | jmhudson1.com
