St Botolph's at Newbold on Avon (now virtually a suburb of Rugby) is one of the more interesting of the historic churches in this part of Warwickshire with a collection of monuments to the Boughton Family of various dates.
The nave and tower date mostly from the 15th century rebuilding but the plain chancel was rebuilt in the early Victorian period. The interior is light with little Victorian stained glass, unusually confined to the nave aisles (three by Heaton, Butler & Bayne on the north side, one by Burlison & Grylls on the south). The main east window is mostly plain.
The monuments are from distinct periods, two 15th century tombs in the south aisle have flat incised slabs with the images of Geoffrey Allesley and John Boughton with their respective wives. Also in the south aisle two wall monuments with small, rather folksy figures carved in relief to two generations of the Boughton family (of Little Lawford Hall). The largest of all is that to William Boughton & wife from 1716, a rather pompous Baroque piece with standing figures that dominates the chancel.
This a church that certainly rewards the visitor but alas is normally kept locked, though there may be keyholder information or phonenumbers given (I called in on Heritage weekend when it was opened and seemed to be recieving a constant flow of visitors).

A collection of filth and phone numbers. This was shot in an alley near our house in Bien Hoa, Vietnam.
Biên Hòa is a city in Dong Nai Province, Vietnam, about 20 miles (32 km) (30 kilometers) east of Saigon, to which Bien Hoa is linked by Vietnam Highway 1. In 1989 the estimated population was over 300,000. And now in 2005, population increased to 541,495, and some estimates show that the city has 604,548 people in 2007
Bien Hoa grew into a major suburb of Saigon (later renamed Ho Chi Minh City) as the capital city of South Vietnam grew. Following the First Indochina War, tens of thousands of refugees from the northern and central regions of Vietnam—a large portion of them Roman Catholics—resettled in Bien Hoa as part of Operation Passage to Freedom.
During the Vietnam War, the United States Air Force operated Bien Hoa Air Base near the city. Nonetheless, a significant number of the city's residents sympathized with, or were members of, the Viet Cong. Mortar attacks on U.S. and ARVN targets were frequently staged from residential districts in Bien Hoa.
With regard to entertainment, the city includes several amusement parks, night clubs and restaurants lining the Dong Nai River. Construction has increased rapidly (with many Western-style houses and villas under development), and the real estate market has experienced a series of boom cycles since the mid-1990s. The retail market still includes the many ad hoc bazaar-type markets and shop-fronts common to most of Vietnam, but now also includes air-conditioned, enclosed shopping malls, one of which, a Big C branch, includes a KFC restaurant, a Western-style grocery store, a bowling alley and video arcade, among others.

The British call them "wheelie bins," ugh. They are also known as "council bins" because they are distributed by the government of Liverpool, headed by the Liverpool City Council.
The color/colour was selected in the year 2000 on the occasion of a reorganization of the refuse collection system by the Liverpool City Council. Purple was chosen because it is the "corporate colour of the city council." The local museum sells miniatures of the purple bins: "This is a quirky gift for a fan of Liverpool and can be useful as a pen pot or just to hide your sweets in!," ugh.
EuroChemistLiverpool has a Twitter account ("your local independent pharmacy providing NHS Services to the Chinese") and an Instagram account. Follow both accounts. "Do you know we are a registered stockist of Harrogate Sulphur products?"

This picture is from 8/30/11 which I later found out would be two-months-exactly-to-the-day prior to Fitness Experts's last day in business, 10/30/11 according to Terre Haute television news, which I'm glad went to the trouble of reporting on it.
Fitness Experts was the home of personal training; juice bar; group exercise; steam saunas; massage therapy; and tanning. Was tanning historically more of a money-maker than the other activities/things, so that's why it was written bigger?, on the signage.

Found this one very cheaply at a car booth sale.
I simply had to have it. We had a dozen of these at my school. I have spent countless houers listening to English and German grammer from one of these.
I am not quite sure when these were made, but since the phonenumber on the label is an eight digit number, starting with a zero, it must be between 1986 and -89. A label on the bottom indicated that this one has been serviced june 6. 2001. That is a long service time for a piece of electronic!
This one was originally bought from Audio Visuel Teknik in Haderslev - and is manufactured/imported by Etronic Trading in Svenborg. Both companies are still in existence.
Being virtually indestructable, the player is still working perfectly - and the sound is actually quite good, as good as a tape can sound anyway.
Luckily I still had a pile of tapes stashed away in my basement, it is good fun to re-visit the music of my early youth :)
