"Roots and Wings" by SHEILA CHANDRA, in 'Roots and Wings' (2012)
Taken with the Kultcamera app on my phone. I'm interested to see if I can get more views with a phone app than the colour version taken with my Nikon.
I had multiple images created for this week's theme of Fantastical in "52 Weeks of 2022," and I finally settled on this one because I like the golden pearls in the atmosphere.
I headed to Hayswood Reserve to capture a sunset after a couple of days with rain. Usually, that would have left clouds that reflected a pretty aura of color off the setting sun, but this night, the clouds and sky moisture completely disappeared.
From that image, I headed to my Android Mirror Lab app to add the water reflection and then trap the whole thing in a globe. Then I took the globe to my KVAD Photo Pro app and added layers of decor, a 3D shadow, and a light gold frame.
It's been a while since I shared a video with you, but I just realised half a year has gone by. So here's a look at the first half of this year's "One Sec A Day" app, that I have been completing on my phone! I'm proud to say that, despite this year being rather uneventful with the pandemic, I've not missed a day, even when I had a migraine!!
So put the kettle on, sit back and chill for 3 mins!! Don't blink though, you'll miss something!! ^_^
Afterlight phone app. It's always fun to try a new phone app to edit a pic. I don't think Afterlight will be my favourite phone app but it's fun and easy to use. I like some of the masks/frames in it. A poppy from my yard.
Thanks Chic (www.flickr.com/photos/80454089@N00/) for bringing the app to my attention.
Tommy: Hey, how come you're still reading a newspaper? Download a news app!
Zombie: I can't find "Zombie Times" in the App Store, can you?
Tommy: ...
So our weather forecast on my phone’s app comes with a lightning visual every few seconds!! And sometimes the “rain is coming” feature is oddly specific- like 41 minutes— right now it’s in a half an hour. Here’s hoping the tree guys have finished up since being up in a cherry-picker bucket is not a desirable location during lightning.
Welcome to part two of my diary phone app, "1 Sec a Day 2023"! JJ introduced me to the app at the beginning of 2019 and I added a clip every day from then on! I'm glad I did cos the shots of my Mum are particularly precious (she died November that year).
This section includes everything that happened to us from 1st July to 31st December 2023, with lots of visits to the hospital with Tim, our holiday in Stratford-upon-Avon and a few other days out! Watch carefully - if you blink you'll miss it!!

I used my Droid Incredible phone for this lovely dish today. The FX Camera app has a tasty SymmetriCam that is just absolutely delicious! Not quite happy with the taste originally, so I tried something a little different to spice it up. I ran it through Photomatix (a single pic) and used the Painterly setting on it. Cropped it in Picnik and here it is fresh from the oven
Bon Appetite
This is a micro 'i phone' controlled helicopter sat on top of a 3 inch fence post. The i phone has an infrared device plugged into the speaker jack socket to communicate with the heli and the controls are on the i phone screen to make it fly.
Read so many positive reviews about this place, I had to try it. Thought it was a bit greasy for my breakfast needs but I get the hype.

Was testing an app on my phone called My Light Meter Pro.
This was an Incident Light Reading.
The Light app does reflective and Incident,
For Incident you need a diffused plastic dome to cover the front camera on your phone, so I used a white film canister and cut out a slot.
Simple fruit for today's theme as I believe there will be loads of potassium (Atomic Symbol K and Atomic Number 19) within. I think I have missed my symbols from Sunday and Monday, so will sort that soon!!
My technique today is quite alien to me ~ I used my iPhone to take the photo and then did a little amount of processing and cropping via an app called TitleFx, even including my little copyright. Once in a blue moon I used my iPhone to take a photo so a new technique - got to work that panorama shot, next!!

I remember the days, when I had a P.A. who kept me well and truly organised but as those days have gone I now find that the best way for me to keep personally organised is to use an App named "Notebook" which I have on my iPhone XR ~ I can make as many notes as I want and set individual alarms to ensure all are done and as close to being on time. The "Notebook" App also crosses over to all of my devices, so no excuses!!
