Ein Vertreter der Philosophie oder Religion von Zardoscht (persisch für Zarathustra). Bisher dachte ich bei Persien eher an Ajatollas. Scheint eine sehr menschenfreundliche Weltanschauung zu sein.
A representative of the philosophy or religion of Zardoscht (Persian for Zarathustra). Up to now I thought of Persia more like ayatollas. Seems to be a very philanthropic worldview.

I like to imagine that he is an ancient philosopher who first came up with the pompadour, but it didn't catch on, and his contribution to hair fashion was lost to society until some intrepid world trekking trend-setter discovered his writings in an until-then undisturbed ruin and brought the style to the 1950's.

This squirrel sat on that fence post for quite a few minutes, staring pensively into space. What did he ponder?
Past this building many a time and always wanted to photograph it.
It's on private ground but I was granted permission to take these shots under the conditions I wouldn't be selling them. Hence the watermark......I've had images stolen in the past and used. But it's something I've never let worry me too much, if I was trying to make money out of this I would be a little more careful on the quality of the images I post and would put the watermark in a much harder place to clone out.
Any way back to the tower.......it belongs to the Earl of Shaftesbury family. It was thought the 3rd Earl was a philosopher and spent many a time thinking here.
I know I could ponder quite happily here watching the gorgeous sunrises.
( When we get them that is! )
I ran into this chap at the village library. I used to pass his garden out walking in the vilalge. Sometimes I would stop and talk as he tended his vegetable patch. Anytime I passed the garden, there was always music playing quietly from the greenhouse, whether anyone was there or not don't know. Depending on what time of day, it might be BBC Radio 2 (light Popular music) or Classic FM. Now he may be just playing what he enjoys when he is outdoors, but I've often passed and seen no one about and still heard music. All I can say is that he gets a bumper crop of tomatoes each year.

A friend of mine, the most smart, friendly and funny guy I've ever known. He might have read all the books on earth and heard about all the possible bullshits in the world too ;-)
We have passed this pub on many an many an occasion and often wondered about its name. This time I took a photo and 'googled' it on our return home. It has a very interesting history.
