This rocky island is near the distance shore on my previous post. It's 500 feet long but small enough that it's not easy to see at that distance. Phantom Ship is the oldest rock within the caldera and is so steep that just a few feet away from the island the water is over 1,000 feet deep. Named for its ghosts hip-like appearance on foggy days.

As noted in the link to the song, this is a remaster of a MIDI version with more modern synths to give an idea what it might sound like if made today. This will be, like in the musical itself, the featured song of a music video I'm working on, starring Idomeneus here as the first ever Tiger Phantom.
Here's the same island from the opposite side on a more colorful day and with just a little more perspective. It's really not that far from the edge of the lake. You can even see the rocky underwater connection here.

When I was coming back on Phantom Canyon Road in Teller County, these amazing striated clouds materialized just before dark. so of course I had to pull over to enjoy them. It was a good thing I did, as they were incredibly short-lived and gone in five minutes. A solid reminder that if you see an image (or anything else you want in life), grab it before its gone never to return. Life is truly a serendipitous and impermanent process! ;-)))
Wish you were here came to my mind seeing this image . or was it imaginary boyfriend, well it was a cute girl probably just looking at the timetable at the train station i left.

Another angle on the terrific F-4C Phantom II on display at the March Field Air Museum in Riverside, California.
Not our normal winter of snowys,,very quiet here. I do miss them but the odd sighting of the Great Grays have made it wonderful. Never in one place, lots of hunting and worth every mile :).
