A cool building in Perth, Western Australia, pretty average in the day time, but very cool at night, it changes colours every couple of seconds.
Foundation stone 25 Oct 1867 by Governor John Stephen Hampton, designed by Richard Roach Jewell, brick laid in Flemish bond, opened 10 Apr 1870 as Wesleyan church, now Uniting, extensions designed by Talbot Hobbs 1895, steeple damaged by Meckering earthquake 1968, 30 feet replaced by copper cone. Dodd organ installed 1926.

Western part foundation stone 8 Feb 1863 by Bishop Salvado of New Norcia, designed by Brother Joseph Ascione & built by Benedictine monks using local clay bricks. Second part foundation stone 25 Apr 1926, architect Michael Cavanagh, using locally quarried stone. Damaged by Meckering earthquake 1968. Third stage joined the 1930 east end with the 1865 west end by replacing the 1865 nave and adding a second spire.
