Nathan, Leon and I were in the studio this afternoon bouncing ideas off eachother and trying all kinds of lighting and posing variations. This concept came from Nathans creative little brain and was brought to life by the three of us. We hope you enjoy.
Took a trip to Southport (N.W. England) today, it was cold and the tram was closed so my lovely wife and I had to walk the mile long pier LOL.
I like Lake Tahoe. A lot.
There are many beautiful aspects of the lake but for some reason I always find myself coming back to Emerald Bay over and over. I've always admired the tall mountains around Emerald Bay but I usually end up shooting out over the top of Eagle Falls looking out toward the main body of the lake. Back in May I finally got up to the lake early enough in the afternoon to make the hike down to the water level and shoot back toward the mountains for a different perspective. It doesn't really even look like Emerald Bay....but that's kinda the point. I hope you like it.

The art of structuring a photographic image lies in the thoughtful arrangement of elements within the frame to create a harmonious and engaging picture.
Vicars' Close, in Wells, Somerset, England is claimed to be the oldest purely residential street in Europe with its original buildings all surviving intact.
Vicars' Close comprises numerous Grade 1 listed buildings (erected between 1363 and 1412) comprising 27 residences built for Bishop Ralph of Shrewsbury with a chapel and library at the north end. The garden walls were added in the 15th century.
The Close is about 460 ft (140 m) long, and paved with setts. Its width is tapered by 10 ft (3 m) to make it appear longer when viewed from this main entrance.
A further image from the evening at Bramshill Common and from the same location as an earlier posted image. This is a wide ange capture (12mm focal length), which gives a completely different perspective. The leading lines all converge on a point in the centre of the frame. I particularly like the way the bed of the pond is visible in the foreground, with the purple flower heads adding interest. The wide angle also adds richness to the colours
The sun, very close to disappearing behind the Teton peaks, was throwing it's low angle warmth across Schwabacher Landing causing me to turn away from those famous massive granite spires in search of other subjects. This tuft of grass jutting up through the surface of the calm water gave me a foreground subject to highlight.
Many shots I've seen from "the landing" include a tuft(or two) of grass but making it the star of the image seemed like it would be worth a try. :)

reality shifts every moment. as we come back to our environment we learn to adapt, compromise and flex with change. that is our greatest asset as co-creative beings, knowing and sharing space.
I was trying so hard to take this angle with my wide angle lens.
Then came a camera man (who can't speak english) took my camera, changed my lens with his and set everything properly, returned it to me, then came out this photo.
Not gonna lie, I was quite surprised and hesitate for seconds before i gave my cam to him.
The Milky Way, looking much more horizontal than it does back home in Canada, which is much further north than Thailand, and likely the reason it looks different than what I'm used to.
I'm not sure what the brightest star (or planet?) is on the left, just under the Milky Way. Any ideas?
