A performance do grupo Culto das Malditas aconteceu na terça-feira de carnaval (13) e teve como palco o Metrô de Brasília. No caminho, encontramos com foliãs e foliões que interagiram com a intervenção feita. Enquanto algumas pessoas esboçavam sorrisos, outras lançavam olhares curiosos e até raivosos. Entretanto, o resultado foi muita lacração, carão e close, celebrando toda a diversidade que confere um colorido especial ao carnaval.

Photos from the Rehearsal Performance of the Ann Arbor Dance Classics Benefit Show at the Saline High School on Sunday April 25th, 2021. The studio took all the safety precautions for the pandemic. All dancers and teachers wore face masks and there was no one in attendance except the tech crew, and teachers. Really nice to see a performance on stage. Another arts organization figuring it out - how to manage through this pandemic.
Day 3 of the celebration. Twenty years serving Uganda! AHF Uganda Cares, one of AIDS Healthcare Foundation's first and longest-running global programs, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month under its “Keeping the Promise” pledge to save lives and combat HIV/AIDS in the country. AHF began providing lifesaving antiretroviral treatment (ART) to people living with HIV in Uganda in 2002.

The Balinese dance, Kecak, is not accompanied by any orchestra or gamelan players, but rather a male choir, who are also present on the stage during the dance performance. It was very interesting to see a very different performance of the the same story, the Hindu epic Ramayana, which we also saw in Java.
