Colourful intricately decorated and embroidered thobes (dresses) feature in this womens social dance called Khaleegy - Kadija featured
I really like this shot, because her face is in focus while her arms are still in motion, and the fluke that got the background black shows off the amazing colour and detail that she sewed by hand into the front panel of her thobe - all those pale orange swirls are beads!
I think I know which band this is, although I never found out officially, and they shall remain nameless... :-) And they had lots of fun!
