The most striking feature of their attire is the heavy, shaggy white chaps worn over their trousers. These are known as zamarras, traditionally made from goat or llama hide, worn by highland horsemen and characters in various indigenous festivals across the Pichincha and Imbabura provinces. The Ponchos & Instruments: They are wearing classic handwoven Andean striped ponchos, patterned belts (chumbis), and traditional brimmed hats. On the right, a musician beats a large traditional Andean drum (bombo).

I created an enactment scene by telling my friends to pretend they were in a fight scene. The hadouken/kamehameha effect was created in photoshop to fit the theme of a typical anime fight scene.
We weren't sure what was going on here, but it was a performance art piece with a veiled nurse making offerings of bread and ... well, something else. Dough? It looked fascinating, but we couldn't figure it out.

In 1L's assembly, the children performed a scene based on a Polish ballet ‘Coppelia’. The performance showed the toys in Dr. Coppelia’s workshop. Year 1 have been learning about kindness, one of the Malvern College qualities. This was demonstrated through song and dance. Congratulations to 1L for an amazing, vibrant, energetic dance interpretation. It was a fantastic way to incorporate music and movement in order to develop self-confidence. Wow!
