Sisters Hope at the Roskilde festival 2014
Sisters Hope was one of four international performance groups (Sisters Hope (DK), Savage Amusement (AUS/DE), Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen (DK) and Katalin Halasz (UK)) represented at the Roskilde festival 2014.
In the tradition of interactive and immersive performance art we explored the nature of the 'sensuous' in the Performance Sense Laboratory. Performers in the shape of Evokers initiated and facilitated the journey of the festival participants, who became Human Research Objects as they entered the Performance Sense Laboratory.

Performance by Nanyang Polytechnic Chinese Orchestra Percussion Ensemble, at the Esplanade during the CNY 2015 celebration. They dusted Talcom-like powder on the drum for this spectacular visual effect.

Well, this is a performance I saw right outside "Palacio de Bellas Artes" in Mexico City.
There have been way too many protest because of the 43 students missing since September 26. From marches to these kind of protests.
Some of the many shows and performances I saw on my 2010 trip, including the Tang Dynasty Show, X'ian, various onboard performances on a week - long cruise on the Yangtze River, musicians at the Hubei Musem, Wuhan and the acrobats in Shanghai.

"Die Performance von Christiaan Tonnis findet am Vortag des längsten Tages des Jahres statt. In seiner leuchtenden Hand wird der Künstler einen Strauß blauer Blumen halten und mit diesem zwei Textpassagen aus Novalis’ Roman »Heinrich von Ofterdingen« auf zwei sich gegenüberliegende, raumgreifende Horizonte schreiben. Mit seiner meditativen Aktion nimmt Christiaan Tonnis Bezug auf das gegenwärtige Geschehen: die performative Einschreibung eines poetischen Textes der Frühromantik ist als Gegenentwurf für unsere aus den Fugen geratene, schwankende Welt zu lesen - und verspricht Erlösung. Wenn am folgenden Tag der Sommer beginnt, so startet mit ihm auch eine Zeit neuer Perspektiven, die so sehnsuchtsvoll erwartet werden."

Nate Martin stands at the front counter of Racing Performance and Street in Glen Burnie, MD on April 3, 2009. RPS provides service for body work and performance upgrades for all cars.
The lighting for this was insane. Over head were sodium vapor lights that tested the limits of the Kelvin WB settings, mixed with florescent. In front of the counter was one sb800 (triggered by D300 built in flash) aimed at the ceiling with 2 orange gels, the white on the shirt came from an open door behind the off camera flash. An open garage door helped light the back of the integra on the lift. I spent a couple days trying to get this shot right, trying different gels and mixes of natural and over head light.
