Project Tag, "A Call for Prayer"
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual outdoor Battery Dance Festival went virtual this year, like so many other performances.
So there was no live festival and most of the international dance companies that participated did so via video.
But NYC let the Festival film a handful of the performers live, albeit in the very early morning, as a way to discourage curious onlookers. These are some of the companies that participated; but this necessarily is a very small sampling.

96 year old Pinetop Perkins performing last night at the Woodstock Film Festival for the after party of the east coast premiere of "The Perfect Age of Rock 'n Roll".
A group of legendary blues musicians were brought together to perform for the movie "The Perfect Age of Rock 'n Roll". They are just beginning a national tour that is being filmed for a documentary - much like a blues version of "Buena Vista Social Club".
FD Reese, a local private school, helped kick off Black History Month by performing some songs and poetry for campus.
