These were the divers discussing that evening`s dive from the cliffs.

Shot of a worker in a field at sunset.

India.

This was taken at a bar on the West End Road, it was Rockcliffe, but I believe it has now changed its name. Its about 500 yds before Rick's Café in the West end of Negril. This is a spectacular place to watch the sun set into the sea in front of you. Chill, relax and take in the sunset. Its my greatest spot on earth for sunset views (especially with a Daiquiri or Red Stripe to hand).

A spot that is unequalled on Earth.

Heavenly.

As some of you probably noticed...I love bright sunlit puffy white clouds. They take on great colors at sunset too!

only being there you will know what that means....

It's easy to get the feeling of being dwarfed at Muriwai. Powerful elements, the wind and sea, combined to form and now dominate this dynamic wildlife park.

Imagine the life blood of the earth, lava, spilled here from a massive undersea volcano. Where you now stand was born of fire from that eruption. This fire still rages beneath the surface.

Imagine its rhythm, beating as pulse echoing the heartbeat of the earth.

This Whole area is full of treasures from the wildlife that lives here, to the rich Maori history and geology. Signs beside the track give some insight into this region. Come with us as we begin to unravel some of its secrets and give you a taste of living on the edge of the wind.

This was the beginning of a beautiful sunrise that turned into a wonderful day.

🌅 Sunsets at Garry Point Park are nothing short of magical—many locals consider it the best place in Richmond to watch the day melt into the Salish Sea.

🌇 Why It’s So Special

- Unobstructed Western Views: The park sits at the southwestern tip of Richmond, offering panoramic vistas across the water toward Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

- Golden Hour Glow: The wide-open sky and reflective shoreline create a canvas for brilliant oranges, purples, and fiery reds—especially in summer and early fall.

- Natural Seating: Driftwood logs and grassy knolls make for perfect sunset perches.

- Kite Silhouettes: The park’s breezy conditions often mean colorful kites dancing across the sky as the sun dips low.

Best Sunset Spots

- Head to the southwestern edge of the park near the Fishermen’s Memorial Needle for the most dramatic views.

- The West Dyke Trail, which connects Garry Point to Terra Nova Park, offers a 6 km shoreline stroll that lets you follow the sunset as it unfolds.

🍦 Sunset Pairings

- Grab fish and chips from Pajo’s or a scoop of pistachio gelato from Timothy’s in nearby Steveston Village—just a short walk away.

Garry Point sunsets are a soul-soothing experience.

Thank you for your visit and any faves or comments are always greatly appreciated!
